Weary travelers.

Restless souls.

Everyone deserves a place for R&R.

VetTalks is praying for the perfect place for Veterans to break free from the worries of life and focus on restoration of mind, body, and spirit.

VetTalks R&R

Start With Why

VetTalks was born when our founder asked her favorite Veteran, "What are you doing for New Years Eve?"

He said, "I'm getting ready to die."

VetTalks was born the next day.

At that time, 22 Veterans died by suicide every day.

By 2022, that number was still 17.6.

Mandatory training missed the mark.

Strategic storytelling started.

Expert in suicide prevention and resilience after a civil service career caring for Gold Star Families, Wounded Warriors, Servicemembers, Veterans, and Families in the DoD and VA, VetTalks uses a public health approach that prioritizes lives worth living.

As Veterans understand they are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of a perfect God who loves them -- purpose, connection, and provision replace burdensomeness, isolation and loneliness,

and capacity to die by suicide.

A community of sojourners, VetTalks inspires purpose, creates connection, and ignites provision. The VetTalks team of passion filled Patriots and partners love our Veterans, live as Veterans, and/or light up the dark skies for Veterans.

What Does VetTalks Do?

VetTalks' founder experienced nearly two decades of gaps in government entities caring for our Nation's Heroes. Launching an evidence informed prevention model for whole person resilience, VetTalks invites a trusted network of Veteran friendly tools, strategies, and resources to support mind, body, and spirit.

Bridge the Gaps
Sustain the Strategies

Suicide prevention is often dependent on grants and other funds that aren't sustainable. With a business mindset, VetTalks inspires Veterans toward lives worth living through sustainable frameworks for vocational and entrepreneurial ventures and financial freedom. Following the public health model for prevention, VetTalks 1. Defined and monitors the problem, 2. Identified risk and protective factors, 3. Developed and tested prevention strategies, and is intent on 4. Assuring widespread adoption.
